Terms of Use

Welcome to Sollow. Sollow is a personal progress application. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sollow mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is operated by Alan Gois, doing business as Sollow ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
By creating an account, downloading, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
You acknowledge that the Service is not available to individuals younger than 13 years of age. If you have not reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction (often 18), a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and agree on your behalf. By using Sollow, you represent that you meet the minimum age requirement and, where applicable, have obtained parental or guardian consent.
If you register an account, you agree to provide truthful information. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your sign-in method and for activity under your account, to the extent permitted by law.
2. Modifications
We may update, alter, or modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice, which may include posting an updated date in the App or otherwise communicating within the Service. Where the law requires, we will seek consent. Continued use of the Service after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not accept updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
3. What Sollow is, and is not
Sollow helps you track personal activities and progress, and includes social features such as friends and rankings.
Scores and similar indicators are for motivation only. They are not medical, psychological, financial, or other professional advice, and the App is not a medical device. You remain solely responsible for decisions you make based on information in the App.
4. License and service use
We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for its intended personal, non-commercial purposes, consistent with the App Store terms and these Terms. Intended purposes include personal progress tracking and permitted social interactions within the App.
You may not interfere with Service infrastructure, use bots or unauthorized automated means to access the Service, manipulate scores or rankings, or otherwise misuse the Service.
5. Accounts and security
An account is required to use the App. After onboarding (including the paywall step, or a free invite that skips the paywall), you must sign in with Apple, Google, or email before accessing the main App. Sign-in enables cloud sync and social features. You must keep account credentials and sign-in methods confidential. Notify us promptly at hello@sollowapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Limited data stored on your device during onboarding before sign-in may be lost if you delete the App or erase device data. You may permanently delete your account and linked cloud data using Delete Account in Settings.
6. Friends, social features, and user content
You may send and receive friend requests, view limited friend progress information, use referrals, and interact with social surfaces available in your version of the App.
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as display names, notes, or shared images) and are solely responsible for it. You agree not to post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, infringing, or otherwise harmful, and not to spam invitations or referrals.
We may moderate or remove content and restrict accounts that violate these Terms. We do not control all user conduct and are not responsible for user-generated content, except as required by law.
7. Data collection
We collect and process data in connection with your use of the Service, including progress, activity logs, tasks, optional notes, and social interactions, as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to that collection and use in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The App and its content, features, and functionality, including the Sollow name, design, software, and assets, are owned by Alan Gois / Sollow or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent, except as expressly allowed by law or the App Store license.
9. Cosmetics and in-app items
Cosmetics, titles, scores, points, and similar in-app items are provided under a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license for use within the Service only. They are not real-world currency and may not be sold, redeemed for cash, or transferred except as expressly allowed in the App. We may manage, modify, or discontinue in-app items, subject to applicable law and any rights you have in connection with a verified purchase.
10. Purchases and payment processors
If paid features, trials, or subscriptions are offered, purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID and are subject to Apple's terms. Prices shown at purchase may vary by region. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. We assume no liability for downtime or failures of third-party payment processors beyond our reasonable control. Use Restore where available for eligible purchases.
11. Third-party links and services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services (including Apple, Google, Supabase, and Expo) that we do not control. Links do not imply endorsement. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be governed by their terms and privacy policies. We disclaim liability for third-party services to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as described above. We may suspend or terminate access, without prior notice where permitted, for breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, or to protect users or the Service, subject to applicable law.
13. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SCORES OR OTHER OUTPUTS ARE ACCURATE MEASURES OF YOUR LIFE OR PERFORMANCE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US THROUGH THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50 (OR LOCAL EQUIVALENT). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE LIMITED, INCLUDING MANDATORY CONSUMER PROTECTIONS.
15. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alan Gois / Sollow from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (i) your use of the App; (ii) your violation of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party right; or (iv) any claim that content you submit caused damage to a third party.
16. Governing law
These Terms are primarily governed by the laws of the place from which the App is published. The App is published from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and these Terms are therefore governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights or the right to bring a claim before a court or authority that has jurisdiction under applicable law where you live.
17. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sollow concerning your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements with respect to the App.
